Time is passing so fast, I am feeling the life is short... why can I live much more in moment by moment to appreciate each day, loving way,
Traveling back to my home in Japan. I have a very small family. just my mom and my grand aunt. Both are getting old and far away from each other. My love to my home country and my family. And yet I love USA and my studio. I love both. I love you all. I see better when I am away. My deep gratitude to you all.

New moon and solar eclipse. I had a wonderful evening last night with friends who trust each other, support each other, and grow together no matter of age or race.
On Monday is the powerful Solar Eclipse and New Moon. It's time to let go of old story, baggage, old habitual pattern. Or thing dose not serve me longer. And getting ready for New Beginnings. It's great time to set intentions for things you like to create, develop, cultivate, make manifest.
What is Sangha, community and collaboration of awakened beings. Learning from each other, support each other and inspired each other. For me it is very important part of my life.

New exciting retreats in December 2017 and March 2018, plus One day Silent Yoga and Meditation Retreat with Bhante Sujatha and Harumi in November! http://mailchi.mp/f6b92d085e2b/harumiyoga-new-retreats-in-2017-2018
Students often ask me what should I do at the time of Eclipse or what should I supported to feel. My answer is always same, I say to them "just be mindful". No need to do anything, not worry, just show up who you are, but mindful way. However it's great time to do cleaning, clear the clutter in the closets or clean bath rooms where usually we don't pay attention. And the best time to do a self pumper, go to massage, take good care of yourself!
The first day of each month gives us reflect and move forward. As I always like to set up intention for the month.
Early morning at Browns Ranch
I sat earlier morning in my backyard. Looking up this cloudy grey sky, listening birds and wind chime. Then had my cup of green tea. I took a big breath. What a moment! Until my neighbor's old cranky A/C started make noise!

You are not too old, you are not too late!
Recent trip to Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles, CA to see Tony Bennet. At his 90th birthday concert. He was vibrant and full of life. I thought of myself if he is 90 yo then I still have so much time to grow and shine. Be healthy and have a passion in my life, and appreciate everything and everyday. I can do it, you can do it and Let's do it!

Both Calm and Stillness may sound like the same things, but actually they are very different and that we need both.
My experiences, Calm as creating perspective and mindfulness while something happening emotionally reacting.
Stillness, is to me as focusing something and sometime creating a clearing, emotionally and physically clutter-free space.
What is your experience?
Celebration of Freedom.
Nelson Mandela said " For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others". What is freedom to me is, respect self and others, and to have the courage to disagree or speak out with the crowd.
